The people who stay in the Lodge are often in Cape Town for a long period of time. Most of the guest staying at the Lodge are here on an internship, or to either study or work for a few months. Therefore the majority of lodgers are students. There are also those who are here on holiday, but they are typically a minority. You will find people of many different nationalities in the Lodge. People from European countries such as the Netherlands, Germany, United Kingdom, Ireland, Belgium and France, also from the United States, Asia and Australia. People in the Lodge tend to do a lot of things together, such as travelling, going out, cooking and eating. Since a lot of people come on their own, everybody is very open and eager to meet new people and have a good time together. If you visit the Lodge you will not feel a moment of loneliness, although you can always find a quiet corner to get some work done or just relax and enjoy a moment around the pool!
